Woman dies of water intoxication
A woman in Sacramento, California died due to water intoxication. She was taking part in a water drinking contest. The local radio station held the contest and promised a Nintendo Wii system to the person that could drink the most water without urinating. The woman left the radio station and went home. She claimed she had a headache. Later on the woman was found dead. The coroner’s preliminary investigation said that the death was consistent with water intoxication. This is caused from not urinating. People don’t realize that holding your urine in, or not allowing a bowel movement to happen is not healthy, and in the long run can cause serious problems and complications.
