Wireless router
Most people these days are using wireless internet more then ever. Sometimes they use network cards others use a wireless router. The wireless router will allow computers with wireless cards in them to access the internet. Computers like desktops that might not have a wireless card can still plug into the wireless router and it works just like any other router. It is a lot better then having cables running all over your home.
