Whales injured by a propeller
Two humpback whales swam 90 miles from San Francisco to just out side of Sacramento. They have injuries and they appear to be from a propeller. The mother whale has an injury about two feet long and six inches deep. The edges of the wound are sharp, which is a typical propeller wound. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to be life threating. The baby whale has a wound that looks more severe then it’s mom. The injuries seem to be getting larger but they don’t think the will need treatment. Hopefully they can return to the salty ocean water soon. Sea salt which is basically ocean water will help heal the wounds. Sea salt is a natural healing product. I use this to clean wounds or cuts or anything for that matter. It works better then most first aid medicine. I wish boats and people invading these mammals space in the ocean would be more careful. It’s sad to see animals get hurt when different elements are invading their space.
