Diabetic bodybuilder wasn’t drunk
I have many people in my life that are diabetics. Type one and type two, type one diabetics get their insulin by shots, three to four times a day, type two get theirs with medication usually in the pill form. When their blood sugar gets way too low they do stagger and kinda walk like they are wasted. It is very unsafe when this happens. It is dyer that they make it rise quickly. I found this article and i was as appalled.
Doug Burns who is a bodybuilder appeared drunk to police offers at a movie theater in California. When actually he was just having a reaction to a new diabetes medication. He was preparing to see a film when he felt his blood sugar dip too low, so he headed to the snack counter for something to eat. A security guard noticed the erratic behavior caused by low blood sugar and assumed that Burns was drunk. When Burns was asked to leave he refused, at which point police were called in. Who actually goes to the movie theater drunk? I can’t think of anyone, and to just assume someone is with out asking them several questions is just uncalled for. He had every right refusing to leave.
